Clomid at 50/50/25/25 for PCT after a 16 week test cycle. Did the job in terms of recovery - bloodwork showed natural test back to baseline by week 6 post cycle. But the side effects were rough. Emotional instability was wild, literally tearing up at commercials on TV. Also got some visual disturbances - floaters and occasional blurriness that freaked me out. Everything resolved after stopping but it wasnt a pleasant experience.
Clomid absolutely wrecked me emotionally. 50mg/day and within a week I was an emotional wreck. Crying for no reason, irritable, anxious, depressed. Also got weird vision issues - everything had a slight haze to it. Switched to nolvadex at 20mg and felt infinitely better within days while still recovering just fine. Some people tolerate clomid well but if you have any tendency toward emotional instability steer clear and use nolva instead.
Standard PCT with clomid 50/50/25/25. It worked for recovery purposes but I much prefer nolvadex. Clomid gives me visual disturbances that are concerning - wavy lines in my peripheral vision, sensitivity to light, afterimages lasting longer than normal. These are documented SERM side effects and while they go away after stopping I dont like messing with my vision. Nolvadex gives the same recovery benefits without the ocular sides in my experience.
Used clomid 25mg/day for 6 weeks as PCT. lower dose meant fewer sides than the typical 50mg protocol. still recovered test levels to normal range within 8 weeks. the mood sides were minimal at 25mg, just slightly more emotional than usual. i think people overdose clomid for PCT. 25mg is plenty effective and much more tolerable than 50mg+
